COVID-19 Update and Reopening

CAGEF resumed reduced operations on Monday June 22. We have implemented all the necessary safety measures for our staff and customers. Please note that since we are operating at a reduced capacity, processing time for samples may be longer than normal.

For internal ESC building clients, samples will be exchanged in the hallway outside the CAGEF lab (ES4038). You are required to coordinate a time for pickup by a designated CAGEF staff member.

For external clients, samples will be exchanged outside the front entrance of the ESC building at the double glass doors at the intersection of Huron and Willcocks streets (see map. The building address is Ecology and Evolution Dept, 25 Willcocks St). You are required to coordinate a time for pickup by a designated CAGEF staff member.

Samples must be dropped off in a container that can maintain an appropriate temperature for the samples (ie. ice packs or dry ice) for 30 min. You will not be permitted access to the building or CAGEF except in special, prior-arranged circumstances. For those with approval to enter, a mask is required.
